KATHMANDU, JUN 26 -
Ten persons have been killed when a micro bus veered off the road at Chatiban VDC in Doti district on Tuesday morning. Five others are injured the accident.
The micro bus (Se 1 Kha 502) fell some 200 meters down the road. Assistant Sub-Inspector at Budar Police Station Dan Singh Bhat informed that the injured are being rescued to the nearby hospitals.
Seven of the deceased have been identified. They are Kailash Bhakta Joshi and Janaki Devi Joshi of Dadeldhura, Jagan Nath Bohora of Kanchanpur, Chandra Bahadur BK of Doti, Madan Raj Pant of Baitadi, Chandra Devi Panday of Rupal VDC and Indian national Fida Hussain. Identification of the other three has not been established.
Critically injured Dharma Raj Pant of Baitadi, Kabita Meheta and Rojani Meheta of Dadeldhura are prepared to sent to Dhangadi for further treatment.
The bus was en route to Mahendranagar from Dadeldhura.
