CHITWAN, JUL 13 - The District Public Health Office (DPHO), Chitwan has launched a campaign against dengue, a mosquito-borne disease. Chitwan is a high risk zone for dengue.
Under the campaign, larvas and pupas of mosquito will be searched for and then destroyed, said Office's Vector Control Supervisor Ram KC.
Earlier, the Office had launched the anti-dengue drive in the district in the month of August and October, last year.
A total of 200 health workers and volunteers have been deputed to operate the campaign that began from Thursday, said Public Health Chief Kehar Singh Godar.
Besides, various sorts of orientation and public awareness programmes are taking place in different parts of the district.
A total of 68 dengue patients have been found so far in the district since mid-July, last year and of them, one had died, said the Office. RSS
