Dang district has witnessed shortage of textbooks; however it was long since school-level curricular activities have embarked on as per the calendar of current educational year.
Teaching-learning has been troubled for lack of textbooks in community schools of the district.
A team of Human Rights and Peace Society, Dang Chapter had monitored different schools in Western Dang in keeping with public complaint that shortage of textbook caused difficulty in curricular activities.
Most of the schools in Western Dang, including Secondary School Bamalapur and Birendra Higher Secondary School, Hekuli have had the shortage of textbooks.
´Textbook of Grade 10´s Economics has not yet been made available to the school, which has adversely affected the routine activates´, said acting Principal at Secondary School Bamalapur, Shyam Prasad Sharma.
Still 52 students of grade 10 have not received the textbook of Economics, the school sources informed the monitors.
It is quite difficult for us to have no textbook of Economics till the completion of first semester exam, complained 10th grader Sudip Acharya. RSS
