DAMAK, JUL 15 -

Family members of Krishna Prasad Parajuli, a resident of Kohabara VDC-7 in Jhapa who went missing seven years ago, are allegedly receiving death threats from an unidentified group.

Krishna Prasad is out of contact ever since an unidentified group attacked his parents in April 2005.

The family members said the group has been threatening to hand over Krishna Prasad to them.

Krishna Prasad’s father Bhim Prasad said a group of around 10 unidentified people had shown up at their house demanding Krishna Prasad seven years ago.

“When they could not find our son, they thrashed me and my wife and torched the cow shed,” Bhim Prasad said. “We neither have information regarding whereabouts of our son nor received any compensation.”

Bhim Prasad said they had hoped that Krishna Prasad would return after peace was restored to the country. “However, he has yet to return,” he said.
