KATHMANDU, JUL 13 - Lawmakers of dissolved Constituent Assembly (CA), who have been lobbying for the revival of the CA,  have met Nepali Congress President Sushil Koirala. They have urged President Koirala to take initiative for reinstating the CA to end the political impasse.

The former CA members have suggested that the CA should be reinstated by resolving the contentious issues relating to the constitution drafting.

In response, Koirala said the party is positive about the proposal to revive the CA and assured that he would take up the proposal with the other political parties.

According to NC leader Sobhakar Parajuli, the lobbyist team comprises of former lawmakers from NC, CPN-UML and CPN-Maoist, among other fringe parties. The lawmakers are scheduled to meet the chairmen of UCPN (Maoist), CPN-UML and CPN-Maoist and urge them to agree to their demands.
