The state-owned oil company, Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC) has hiked up the price of diesel and kerosene effective from Tuesday.
The prices of diesel and kerosene have been hiked by Rs 4 per litre, the Monday evening meeting of NOC took decision to this effect.
With today’s hike, diesel and kerosene will cost Rs 93 per litre.
Meanwhile, the prices of petrol, cooking gas, and aviation fuel have not been hiked up.
Officiating Director of the NOC, Sushil Bhattarai said that the prices of diesel and kerosene oil have been jacked up to adjust the prices with international market.
Though the prices of diesel and kerosene oil have been soared up, NOC still reels under the loss of Rs. 1.20 per liter in diesel and kerosene oil, Bhattarai added.
