KATHMANDU, JUL 08 -

UCPN (Maoist) Chairman Puspa Kamal Dahal has remarked that the political parties had hinted towards bringing a complete budget.

Speaking to media persons after meeting President Ram Baran Yadav on Sunday morning, Dahal said, “They have hinted towards bringing a full-fledged budget during the meeting.”

Dahal briefed the president about the discussion during the parties meet. The duo discussed the budget for upcoming fiscal year.

The meeting between the Maoist chief and the president comes at a time when the opposition parties have protested the government’s plan to bring the budget without consensus.

Opposition parties, including Nepali Congress, CPN-UML, among others, have urged the president not to endorse the ordinance for a full-fledged budget. They have argued that a caretaker government has not right to bring the full budget.
