Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai is returning to the Capital on Monday after attending the three-day high-level United Nations Conference on Sustainable Development held from June 20-22.
Before his departure from Brazilian city, Rio de Janeiro, on June 23, Prime Minister Bhattarai attended the luncheon hosted in his honor by Ambassador of Nepal to Brazil, Pradhumna Bikram Shah.
PM’s wife Hisila Yami, was present on the occasion.
Among others attending the luncheon were members of the Nepali delegation who attended the United Nations Conference on Sustainable Development, Rio+20 Conference, held at Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, from June 20-22.
The member include Minister for Environment, Science and Technology Dr. Keshav Man Shakya, Vice Chairperson of the National Planning Commission Deependra Bahadur Kshetry, Nepal’s Ambassador/Permanent Representative to the United Nations in New York, Gyan Chandra Acharya, Secretary at Office of Prime Minister and Council of Ministers, Foreign Secretary Durga Prasad Bhattarai among other high-level government officials, diplomats and journalists.
A 21-member delegation headed by Prime Minister Dr. Bhattarai had left Kathmandu for Brazil on June 18 and is scheduled to return home at 2.45 p.m. on June 25 (Monday). RSS
