Nepal Sadhbhavana Party (Anandidevi) Chairperson Sarita Giri has claimed that appointment of the new prime minister by the president would be unconstitutional.
Speaking at a press meet in the Capital on Thursday, Giri said that Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai should resign to rescue the country from the present crisis. “Present government is unconstitutional caretaker government after the dissolution of Constituent Assembly. And decision by such a government can not be constitutional,” Giri said.
Publicising the decision of the party’s work execution committee, Giri said that the political parties should forge consensus for the formation of a constitutional government by reviving the Interim Constitution 2063 and added that PM Bhattarai should step down for the same.
